New School Construction
Israel and his team are busy building the new school. This building will be accessible to all people. The pozo (grey water well) has been dug and bricks have been laid. These bricks are very similar to what you would find in the United States.
There will be an area for an office, a kitchen, storage, and accessible bathrooms in addition to the classroom area.
The pipes have been laid to bring water to the building. Next on the list is electrical! This is a little more difficult and expensive. A transformer will be added to bring electricity to serve the school and all of the homes to be built in the area. This is the best way to ensure consistent electricity to the buildings in the future.

Inaugural Golf Tournament
A’KALA Family Foundation is hosting its first ever golf tournament sponsored by Wilford, Lake Waconia! This is a great opportunity to get a team together from your mission trip and see others who have traveled to Guatemala with A’KALA. Even if you haven’t been on trip, it’s a fun event and we would love to see you there! The tournament will be held at Shadowbrooke Golf Course in Lester Prairie MN on July 31. 4-person scramble, shotgun start at 9am Friday morning. $80 per person or $320 per team, includes Golf Cart, Lunch and Events/Prizes.

The Toliman Sponsor is $550 and it includes a 4-person team entry in the tournament, your logo/business on one of the holes, your logo included in the event banner and exposure on social media.
